RIYADH: Pakistan Falcons scored a thrilling two-wicket win over CKK in round seven of the Al-Kharaj League 40-over cricket tournament for the Saudi Arabian Investment Bank (SAIB) Cup, organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association.
CKK made first use of the track and made a decent 308 for 8. Najeeb Asgher played a superb knock of 189 runs. Kashif gave him support with 53. Nouman picked 3 and Awais got 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Pakistan Falcons reached their target in 38.2 overs. Yasir led the chase with a brilliant 100. Awais (40), Hamza (35) and Waseem (31) steered their team to victory. Nauman 3, Saud and Imran shared 2 wickets each.
In another match, Sama Steel routed Riyadh Aces by 171 runs. Sama Steel used the strip first and posted 451 for 8. Thanks to Irshad’s 112 off 57 balls. Ramzan (67), Hashmi (71), Zuhaib (82) and Kashif (44 not out) were the others who impressed.
In reply, Riyadh Aces were restricted to 280 runs. Asif Butt was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets. Asif and Arshad grabbed 2 wickets each.
King Faisal Specialists Hospital Blues lost to Falcons by 30 runs. Falcons scored 339 for 7. Kamran Akram smashed a brillian 148 runs. Farhan (59) and Waseem (40) were the other scorers. Usman picked up 3 wickets. Raja and Iftikhar got 2 each.
In reply, KFSH Blues were all out for 309. Imtiaz top-scored with 51 runs followed by Waseem (49), Khurram (47), Nasir (43), and Usman (38). Siraj took 3 wickets. Farhan and Manzoor shared 4 wickets.
