Mixed Marriage And How People Make It Work Through Collective Empowerment

By Dorothy Stewart

When two people love one another, it is often difficult for people or anything for that matter to come between them. After all, when you have committed to loving each other no matter what, you will not allow easy or difficult decisions in life to change your companionship. While an interfaith marriage has tested many marriages, it has also strengthened many. Collective empowerment is the group of person that can help you to face the wedding process smoothly.

There is nothing wrong with marrying someone who doesn t go to the same church as you or worships in the same description as yours. What matters the most is the fact that you love each other and you are willing to make your relationship work no matter what. The rest is not something that should concern you.

It is usually the people who care about the opinions of other people that will listen to what others have to say regarding their interfaith marriage. However, the people that got married for reasons that were sufficient and practical don t really pay much attention to what the rest of the world has to say. Once you do this, you will not be bothered by what people say.

It is very rare that you would commit yourself to love someone for a lifetime if you didn t know about their life or their daily routine. Unless they lied to you and gave you a totally different perception about the person that they are, you would have to know that your fiance believes a certain different religion before you decide to marry him.

There are a lot of people who divorce not because they want to but because people have interfered in their business so much that they no longer see the point of staying in their nuptials. Don t fall into the trap of letting people put negative thoughts into your head that will bring you nothing but a bad report.

As much as you will be respecting and honoring each other as lovers, you also have to do the same when it comes to your spiritual variances. The last thing you want to do is step on your spouse s toes when he is doing something that brings him closer to his Maker. Give him enough space to do what he is to do without disturbing his serenity.

Other religions don t accept a spiritual gathering of this nature for certain reasons. On the other hand, some may be approving based on certain conditions. Therefore, it is important to ensure that your belief supports such a practice. It will be very difficult for you to embark on a relationship that has the potential to turn into a marriage but is somehow short-lived because of the different religious beliefs.

Don t settle for the first person that you can find who claims they have done an interfaith wedding before. Instead, give yourself time to find the right person who will be able to do the job. This way, nothing will be rushed and everything will run smoothly.
