By Lisa Wilson

Most gardeners believe in focusing on the interior of the home as much as the outdoors. There is no doubt that when you bring plants into the home, you will immediately notice a change of mood, which is obviously positive. There are many indoor gardening ideas for folks who think that they are stuck, lacking space or feel that this is too much of a complicated procedure.

It doesn't have to be complicated at all. For example, there are people who have a hanging garden that is suspended from the wall. One may have plants in a jar or in a metal or wooden container. Terrariums are also used for basic simplicity. This adds to the minimalist theme. It adds to the atmosphere, while maintaining the same sense of practicality.

With vertical gardening, you can turn this into a sense of decor as well. It can also help increase your mood. Plants help decrease your anxiety and tension in your life. It has been proven that depression is decreased when you have more plants in the home. You can have these growing on the wall inside a frame. You can also have the plants growing on a ledge. You will be able to use a variety of containers.

Containers can be suspended from the ceiling in a creative way. Some people will use a terrarium. This can look very unique, especially in the way you design and display the plants. Plants can be aesthetically pleasing and practical at the same time. There are many herbs that people grow which are very attractive. These can be displayed in the kitchen in rustic wooden pallet boxes. You can also put them in other recycled planters that look unique and practical at the same time. Herbs that hang from the ceiling are also practical because they take up less space.

You just need to be careful about the practical elements. You need to plan ahead and make sure that you avoid frustrations later down the line. For example, if herbs are hanging from the ceiling, you have to ask yourself whether it is easy enough to water them.
