JEDDAH: Young Stars routed Patwar XI by nine wickets to win the RPD Binladin eight over tennis tape ball knockout cricket tournament, organized by the RPD Binlandin Group, held at the company’s ground.
Patwar XI won the toss, batted first and were all out for 75 runs from the stipulated overs. Anjum has the highest scorer with 20 runs. Umer bowled well and had figures of 4 for 8.
In reply, Young Stars reached the winning target and scored 76 for the loss of one wicket off seven overs. Amir scored a match winning innings of 40 runs. The Patwar bowlers failed to make much of an impact on the rival batsmen.
Sixteen teams took part in this tourney.
Chief Guest, Adil Yousuf Awan handed over the winning trophy to captain Refaqat and runner-up to Anjum.
Sheikh Ahmed Binladin, Sheikh Badr Binladin, Sheikh Mohammed Binladin and Mohammed Abdul Rahman Hussain Al Shaddadi of RPD Binladin congratulated both the teams.
Anwar Hafez (Sports Manaager), Syed Amer Faheem, Syed Umer Ahmed and Zahid Khan were the men behind the tourney and congratulated both the teams.
