Movenpick Resort, Jeddah Titans, Malmons triumph in Titan Watch–JBL Cup

JEDDAH: Movenpick Resort of Joefrey Barbudo defeated Jedsa 16 94-85 in the 2016 Titan Watch-JBL Basketball Tournament in Khalidia basketball court here.
Movenpick showed good offensive skills at the start of the game. Jedsa16 slowly got back to the game with their excellent teamwork but Movenpick Resort played defense well in the dying seconds. Jonathan scored 38 points for Movenpick Resort and was adjudged as the Titan Watch Best Player of the game while Guevarra top-scored with 30 points for Jedsa16.

Fame Thunder of Miramonte Brothers beat LLamados 79-68. It was a tight ballgame from the first quarter. Llamados missed important baskets in the final minutes of the game. Gallano collected 18 points for Fame Thunders and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Mickey Leyva had 24 points for Llamados.
Cinnabon of team manager Jhun Ducusin defeated UDG 86-81. UDG almost had an upset game in the 40 & above division. Cinnabon hardly found its range up to the final quarter but UDG suffered foul trouble in the dying seconds. Doronilla scored 23 points for Cinnabon and was adjudged as the TITAN Watch best players of the game while Burgos top score with big 52 points for UDG.
In Thursday games, Jeddah Titans of Harris Penaranda beat VICCM 102-78. Jeddah Titans running game had the big factor in the final quarter as VICCM lost their steam and committed crucial errors. Samson top score with 23 points for Jeddah Titans and was adjudged as the Giordano Fashions best player of the game while Dela Cuardian scored 29 points for VICCM.
Malmon of Hernan Sena defeated Old Dawgs 73-70. Old Dawgs almost won the game leading by 3 points with 25 seconds remaining in the clock but a crucial error gave Malmons their first win in two outings. Hernando Sena the youngest player in the tournament and a product of Gensoul Basketball scored his 22 points for Malmons and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Aries had 22 points for Old Dawgs.
Khalidia 40s of Coach Ronnie Carino beat Paninos 89-77. Khalidia 40s showed heart in the final quarter as Paninos of Ernie Cabawatan displayed never say die attitude. Eric Custona led the Khalidia 40s with 26 points and was adjudged as the Titan Watch best player of the game while Madrilejo top-scored with 32 points for Paninos.
