Foundation. The wall is only as good as the foundation being built. The wall must be built on compacted foundation, structurally sound sub base material. Compacted or leveled earth are accepted for foundations. To ensure the foundation is strong and sturdy, place the most stable and largest stones at the bottom and make sure that width is as high as the wide of a wall.

Soil characteristics. The characteristics of soil will dictate the amount of time the construction will be completed, the materials to used and the techniques to administer. If the ground conditions are not stable enough, individuals will have to transfer to another location to prevent the possibility of having unforeseen problems that might occur in the future.

Price will mean the difference of a successful project or a failed one. Doing it yourself will save money especially if you will use the cheapest resources. However, to make sure that the structure will hold out for a long time, hire professionals even though it is expensive and costly.
