Garlic Hot Sauce Is Great For Dipping Finger Foods

By Eric Murphy

When it comes to making snack foods, it is easy to fall into a rut. Playing it safe is nice but adding spice brings another taste experience. However, there are some misconceptions about certain foods that label themselves as hot, as it may be spicier. A good example of this is garlic hot sauce, which brings an additional layer of taste to food.

Out of all the condiments out there, those with ample amounts of garlic are probably the most popular., followed by spices that tend to be on the hot side when it comes to taste. It is certainly versatile, as it can be used with dishes inspired by Asian, Italian, and Latin flavors. Anyone can create a finger food that is based on a traditional recipe but with a personal touch added.

Making steamed vegetables and rice with a protein can be done in little time. Fresh or frozen chopped vegetables may be cooked in a microwave for about three minutes. Instant rice in the brown or white variety is versatile to be used in many recipes or eaten alone. Busy people find that store bought rotisserie chicken saves time and some stores have varieties with no salt added.

The best way to gauge how it will be used is to place a drop in a spoon and taste by itself. While faint heat elements may tingle a little, one should be able to taste savory garlic juice throughout. Depending on the strength of the taste, it can be added to salsa, ketchup, or mustard blends made for dipping appetizers or finger foods.

Snacking is another area that can be challenging for the dieter. However, this is just a matter of making slight modifications. Popcorn is the most nutritious when air popped with minimal seasoning. Some people add a mild hot sauce or pepper sprinkle in place of using a salt based seasoning. This also adds a nice color.

New changes in finger foods are Hawaiian style sweet rolls, Naan style bread with a chutney dipping sauce, and sliders in any variety. Those who are following special diet plans find they can cut the salt and sugar content by using hot sauce or balsamic vinegar and agave nectar syrup. One thing that is not missing from these modern twists is a predictable taste.

More people are also finding that food cooked on a grill is more exciting. It also gives groups of people a reason to be outside when the weather is warm. These days, fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables taste better when prepared over an open flame. Adding these to a traditional recipe can change the flavor profile for the better.

Anyone who likes hot sauce will find that most garlic flavors stand apart from most. For those who have been curious about using sauces should start with garlic or other flavors that are not too intense with heat. This sauce changes the taste of regular snacks like popcorn, french fries, and rice so much that there is little need for extra ingredients. All it takes is the willingness to step out of a food comfort zone and see what garlic lovers are talking about.
