The Aftermath Of Hail Damage Colorado Springs

By Michael Edwards

On the twenty eighth of July, two thousand and sixteen Colorado had one of the most damaging experience of a hailstorm in its history. Two hundred and fifty three million dollars worth of property was estimated to be lost as a result of hail damage Colorado Springs. An average of eighty four thousand five hundred autos and homeowner insurances claims are filed so far according the insurance statistics.

The police advised all individuals to stay off the roads because of pile up of snow in some areas. The storm occurred at around nine o clock in the evening and destroyed several cars, personal homes and vegetation. The stranded people were rescued by the firefighters as the police cruises were damaged too.

Along with hail, flooding was also experienced during the storm, resulting in rapidly rising waters that trapped several vehicle owners. For instance, at Pikes Peak Avenue, passengers including a child had to be rescued from the waters. More so, the floods caused a destruction of the fences and the houses around.

This catastrophe was so different from any other that had occurred initially since it affected most of areas in whole state and caused destruction. The estimates of damage was quite few and did not include the commercial ones such as destruction of office buildings, vehicles and the public property too. An addition to these expenses constituted of the windows and roofs damaged that needed some form of repair.

As a result, Colorado has been placed as the second region that has the highest number of destruction claims. It follows after Texas that has been said to have one hundred and forty five thousand, nine hundred homeowner and auto insurance claims. The storm that hit the area on July has features of golf and baseball-sized hail that damaged the property around.

The presence of insurance companies and claims is what helped most of the individuals get back on track especially with the damaged vehicles. An insurance company offers the repairs of dents but without the painting unless the dent is too damaged beyond repair. Through this, one can easily have his or her vehicle back to its former state.

After the hailstorm, several dent repair companies showed up in town from across the country. These firms were of great use to the body shops in repairing the destroyed vehicles brought in. The cheaper the services of firm, the more profits a body shop would make aside from being given discounts by the insurance firms.

The work of repairing the rooftops was very stressful since there was a lot to be done within a short span of time. Additionally, presence of less roofing materials resulted in some homeowners having to wait for longer. The building companies halted their advertisement so as to avoid attracting more customers than they could handle and thus offer poor quality services. Despite the work being strenuous, profits could be noted on the insurance claims and roofing repairs.
