Procedures That St Augustine HVAC Repairs And Installation Services Use To Install Your System

By Domingo Townsend

Installing HVAC requires understanding more about the system and its activities. It is a cooling and heating system that is developed to fitting structures. Many designers go for this system since it provides a comfortable environment. Here are steps involved in St Augustine HVAC repairs and installation services.

Calculation of the total load should be the first step to undertake. The calculation is important as it help in knowing which size of the unit will effectively cool or heat your indoors. To find out the load, you can use online software. The good thing about having the right size is that your system will run smoothly for a long duration.

Deciding where to put the fan coil unit should be another thing to consider. There are different places where it can be located. The important issue is ensuring that the location is not accessed by climatic conditions. Some of the areas where the unit can be placed include attic, garage, basement, closet and utility rooms. The units are available in the market in two major types like vertical and horizontal units.

Choose an appropriate site for return air opening. You should not install the return air duct in the kitchen, living room or dining room. The fan can pass in the opening where a cut is made depending on the dimensions and size of the return air duct.

Another step that should be undertaken is creating a platform. This will be affected by the size of the fan coil. It is recommended that the platform should be constructed using plywood measuring half an inch. There is isolation strips provided that help in enhancing the performance. Suspension of the fan coil is necessary. The rod and fan coil system should not have a direct connection.

The supply plenum ring will be placed below the location of the fan. When space is not adequate, move the fan towards the platform edge. The ring gasket is supposed to be attached to the fan coil so that you can place it in supply ring. There should be a connection of the fan coil and the condensate drain. Ensure that the guidelines that come with the drain are considered. The connection of the condensate drain should be to an open drainage system.

Refrigerant lines should be connected from the condensing unit located outside to the fan coil located inside the house. There are instructions provided by the manufacturer that should be adhered to when installing, charging and trapping the condensing unit. The layout of your system should be guided by your size requirements. When installing the plenum duct, it is important that elbows, branch, and tees should be eighteen inches from the fan coil system. To ensure that the drop of pressure will be minimal in the system, you should use minimal elbows and tees.

Take time in selecting the location of room terminators. Adhere to the specifications provided when installing the terminators. Supply tune installation is the last step in this process. Sharp bends should be avoided in the supply tubing.
