Those willing to go to remote locations can sometimes get paid pretty well for the articles they submit. Blogging about your travels is another way to make money.

If you have a gift for gab, like to meet people, and are interested in selling, timeshare companies may be interested in hiring you. They are usually on the lookout for talented individuals who can communicate effectively with their tourist clients. These businesses prefer to pair American visitors with American sales people. The commissions are worth it for the right individuals.

A job in the service industry is a good possibility, especially for younger travelers. Hotels and bars like to hire English speaking individuals. Youth hostels also have jobs for those who can work with youngsters. You might not get rich waiting on tables or guiding tours, but it will probably be enough to get you by.

It can be easier to break into the entertainment industry in small countries than in the United States.
